Lacoste is a French clothing company that was founded in 1933. The company’s products focus mainly on luxury shoes, male and female apparel, fragrances, and of course their trademark polo shirt. They are most widely recognized by their green crocodile logo.
If you associate the Lacoste crocodile logo with tennis (consciously or not) there is a good reason for that. The company’s founder, René Lacoste, was a world champion tennis player. He won the US Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon multiple times. His determination and perseverance on the court led to the nickname of “the crocodile” by his most avid fans.
Our work with Lacoste involved live screen-printing at one of their most recent store openings in the US. Lacoste has a powerful global presence of boutique clothing stores. Because of this presence, we were very excited for the opportunity to be a part of an organization at their level. People from all over the world got their first experience in live event screen-printing.
These are the types of events that we at Rival get pretty excited about because they are ones that involve bringing an exciting new store into the country and sharing the concept of live event screen printing with an excited crowd. Since most of the people in attendance are heavily involved in the fashion industry, the level of appreciation for the craft we specialize in was even greater.
